Holiday & Vacation Rental Apartments in Paris

Rental Apartments

Very few cities in Europe can compete with Paris as a romantic destination; it has the ability to please everyone and is often referred to as The City of Lights. Almost everyone taking a European vacation will decide on a short stay in Paris; if you have more time, it will make for a remarkable holiday, with many great sites to see.

Visitors flock to see its many wonderful buildings; these include the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, markets and a history only matched by a few other European cities. Visitors to Paris as well as its citizens can travel around Paris easily; there is a superb underground rail system called the Metro which is efficient and easy to understand.

It wouldn’t be possible to visit this city without a trip to the top of the famous steel structure known as the Eiffel Tower; it can be seen throughout most locations around the city. Illuminated in the evening, it is one of the most beautiful sights in the entire city; it is possible to take organized tours which tell the story of the Tower and the history of France.

On your Paris trip ensure you add the famous Champs Elysees to your list of places to visit; it will present you with many famous designer shops and good restaurants. When you visit this region of the city you will see it is a much more select area; the average tourist may find the accommodation expensive but more modest hotels can be found away from this area.

The world famous Louvre museum is in this city; it houses over three hundred thousand exhibits but not all of them are ever on display at the same time. The problem is a Paris short stay will only ever provide a glimpse of what can be seen here; many of the world’s art collections are housed here, which includes the renowned ‘Mona Lisa’. Paris has always been a magnetic destination for artists; chances are that you will have the opportunity to see a number of famous paintings whilst you’re visiting.

Another famous Paris attraction is The Arc de Triomphe which was built within the first decade of the nineteenth century; to honor his generals (and his troops) he had their names inscribed upon it. Many people do not know that an observatory was included in the design which affords great views of the surrounding area; it is located in Place Charles de Gaulle where twelve of the city’s main avenues start, including Avenue de Champs Elysees.

Obviously, these are not the only places to visit; but these should certainly not to be missed because many offer regular guided tours, some at little or no charge at all. A Paris short stay vacation will probably be best suited as just a taster of the city; the churches, cathedrals and other museums will just have to wait for another time.
